2008 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Longstreth - Goldberg ART has announced its schedule of shows and art discussions for the first half of the 2008 season. The gallery, now in its 27th year, is Southwest Florida’s largest contemporary art gallery, specializing in “Tomorrow’s Masters TODAY.”

Four shows are scheduled for the Friday dates indicated below, with an artists’ discussion the following Saturdays beginning at 2 p.m. There is no charge for any of the discussions, and the public is welcome to attend.

The gallery’s show and discussion schedule will be as follows:

JANUARY:
Friday, January 11, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.:
FANTASMAGLORIOUS GARDENS featuring new works by ROBERT CREAMER, photographer, NANCY SCHEINMAN, mixed media painter, GEORGE ALEXANDER, ceramicist and MARK CHATTERLEY, sculptor. This is a special opening night to benefit Naples Botanical Garden. Tickets are $50, and may be purchased from Lisa Juliano, Naples Botanical Garden at 239 643.7275. All monies from ticket sales will be given to the Botanical Garden, and a portion of all artwork sold will be donated to the Garden.

The show will continue until Wednesday, February 6.

Saturday, January 12, 2 – 4 p.m.
Discussion with the artists.


Thursday, January 17, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.:
At the Nathan D. Rosen Museum in Boca Raton, Florida, a collaborative effort between the museum and Longstreth—Goldberg ART, featuring NANCY SCHEINMAN, mixed media paintings, and PAUL TAMANIAN, mixed media paintings and sculpture on Aluminum. FEBRUARY
Saturday, February 2, 7 – 10 p.m.:
PROJECT HELP CHOCOLATE EXTRAVAGANZA, with all proceeds to benefit Project Help, a non—profit organization for victims of violent crimes.

BRANDEIS UNIVERSITY Alumni Association.

Friday, February 22, , 6 — 9 p.m.
BOTANICAL GEOMETRY, featuring mixed media paintings by FRAN HARDY and small sculptures by DA NISHA.

Saturday, February 23,, 2 —4 p.m.
Discussion with the artists.
